RUBBER
Global and specific migration tests are carried out according to the provisions in force on RUBBER in European countries. Since there is no harmonized regulation at European level for rubber objects, the regulations with the most impact on the European market are integrated: Italian DM 03/21/1973, the French Arrêté 05/08/2020 and the German BfR (Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung).
The laboratory operates according to the worst-case approach, usually proposing specific migration of substances subject to specific migration limit only in the simulant chemically closest to the contaminant, since the migration into the stronger simulant also covers the migration into other simulants, in line with EU Regulation No.10/2011, 2.2 paragraph. Screening approaches , 2.2.4 paragraph, and with Guidelines draft version produced by JRC about how to test.
Integrated analytical plans are created including international standards (ex. FDA America standard, China, Japan…)
